Bryan P. Buckley is an Assistant District Attorney for the Twelfth Circuit Court District. An experienced prosecutor for the State of Mississippi, Bryan began his legal career in 1997 as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for the Seventh Circuit Court District in Hinds County.
From 2008 until 2019, Bryan was an ADA for the Twentieth Circuit Court District in Madison/Rankin Counties. During that time, he prosecuted cases of capital murder, murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, carjacking, and drug sales. In 2019, Bryan accepted an ADA position for Forrest/Perry Counties, where he currently prosecutes.
Bryan has prosecuted thousands of felony cases, ranging from death penalty to voter fraud. He is admitted to all Mississippi Courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern District of Mississippi and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Bryan received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi College in 1994 and his Juris Doctorate from The University of Mississippi School of Law in 1997, where he won the school Trial Competition and was a member of the National Trial Competition Team. Bryan is also a graduate of the National District Attorneys Association Prosecutors College and the Regional Counter-Drug Training Academy.
Additionally, Bryan is an instructor for the State Police Academy at Camp Shelby, Mississippi as well as for the Police Academy of the Hattiesburg Police Department. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and previously at Tulane University, Madison, Mississippi Campus.
He is a Veteran of the United States Army Special Forces and Mississippi Army National Guard (MOS 18E), where he served his country worldwide on numerous deployments. Bryan and his wife Sandra reside in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
